at last...

well, it's been awhile since I've had time to do a wordy wednesday... so to make up for it, here's several new words that I've discovered. I don'tknow why we don't use all of the fantastic words of our language more often!

paseo
[pah-sey-oh]
a slow, idle, or leisurely walk or stroll


bodacious
[boh-dey-shuhs]
thorough; blatant; unmistakable


duende
[doo-en-dey]
The ability to attract others through personal magnetism & charm

cormorant

[kawr-mer-uhnt]
a gluttonous or greedy person

diatribe

[dahy-uh-trahyb]
a bitter verbal attack

chimerical
[ki-mer-i-kuhl]
merely imaginary; fanciful

  1. cormorant: Is a bird that is very common in our area and Florida it has no water proofing in it feathers and so after it swims around and hunts its food it has to sit on whatever with its wings out and dry them before it can fly. It swims around and all you see is its head above the water with its long neck.

    bodacious: is or was used by all the surfers where I grew up at in florida even the word rightous both explaining something that was great to them or amazing like the waves etc.

    Interesting ways words are used in different parts of the country.:0)
